Distinguished Service Awards
The guidelines for the Kansas Wesleyan University Distinguished Service Award are:
There are no limits on the numbers, which can be awarded, in a giver year. However, it should be seen as a prestigious and select award with generally no more that three to five annual awards.
There are no particular occasion when these awards may me presented.
There are six categories within the award:
Distinguished Service to international well being
Distinguished Service to our country
Distinguished Service to our state
Distinguished Service to our city
Distinguished Service to our church
Distinguished Service to our college and/or education
Distinguished service to the college should characterize most of the awards, although it need not be a criterion for all.
Approval for awarding the Distinguished Service Award can come only from the Board of Trustees on recommendation from the President who, in turn,, can receive recommendations form any party associated with the college.

About Kansas Wesleyan University
KWU has been an influential part of higher education in North Central Kansas for more than a century. Founded in 1886 by the United Methodist Church, KWU welcomes students of all faiths.
