Kansas Wesleyan University invites nominations and applications for the position of Admissions Counselor. Founded in 1886, KWU is a liberal arts institution located in Salina, Kansas that maintains a strong relationship with the United Methodist Church. The University, serving 750 students on its 28 well-maintained acres, offers academic programs divided into six divisions, 18 departments, 25 undergraduate majors, and one graduate program, the MBA. Students, the majority of whom live on campus, benefit from numerous extracurricular offerings in music, theatre, art, athletics, and beyond. Salina, the sixth largest city in Kansas with a population of 50,000, sits at the hub of two major interstate highways and benefits from regular airline transportation. The city is a major arts, athletics, medical, and cultural center for the region.

Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruitment of prospective students from an assigned geographic region and is an important member of the Enrollment Management team.  

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, a charismatic love for helping students and families, and a passion for excellence are highly sought skills for this position. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, and enjoy participation in related professional organizations.
