Graduate Assistant, Softball Coach - Pitching

Kansas Wesleyan University is seeking a Graduate Assistant Coach in the sport of softball with primary duties overseeing pitching. Kansas Wesleyan University is a rising program with a goal of developing a model NAIA program, succeeding on and off the field, while supporting the institution’s overall mission: to promote and integrate academic excellence, spiritual development, personal well-being, and social responsibility.

Responsibilities:  The assistant softball coach is responsible for directing the conditioning and practices for the pitchers, collaborating with the coaching staff, assisting in game management; assisting with recruiting, retaining and graduating student-athletes; and other duties as assigned by head coach.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; softball playing or coaching experience, particularly as it relates to pitching; knowledge of NAIA rules; basic computer skills. The ideal applicant must appreciate the demands presented by a small college in central Kansas and must be willing to be a role model for athletes. Final job offer is contingent upon completed background check.

Compensation: The selected candidate will be granted a tuition waiver (18 credit hours per year) for one of KWU's graduate programs, a partial meal allowance, on-campus housing and stipend. Admission to the KWU MBA program is required.
