Accounting Program Mission and Goals
The Department of Business and Accounting, using hands-on rigorous instruction, prepares entrepreneurial minded students to critically analyze and make responsible, ethical decisions that lead to organizational and personal success.
Students who complete the Bachelor of Arts in Accounting should be able to:
- Prepare Financial Statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Identify and Implement the appropriate managerial methods to analyze accounting data and other information used for decision making.
- Use clear and concise communication to convey relevant financial and non-financial information so that decision makers can formulate informed decisions.
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of prescribed ethical codes and behaviors in the workplace.
