Kansas Wesleyan University has a long tradition in Music Education but also has a growing Music Performance program.  Students planning to pursue a career in performance have many opportunities to hone their craft at KWU.  Vocal Students study with accomplished world-reknown Soprano and Professor of Voice, Rebecca Copley, in lessons, pedagogy, diction, and vocal literature.  Voice students perform in the yearly opera and musical productions and compete at the National Association of Teachers of Singing Conference each fall.  Instrumental students study with top teachers in their field and have the opportunity to perform with the Salina Symphony.  KWU Music students have performed on stage and in the orchestra for the Salina Community Theatre and the Wichita Grand Opera. Our alumni have gone on secure placement in outstanding graduate programs, such as The Manhattan School of Music (NYC), UCLA School of Music, Wichita State University and Kansas-State University.
