The 70-piece Philharmonic Choir is the concert choir at KWU. The membership is open to any KWU students and the ensemble has students in all area of acadmic studies. This group tours nationally each year and performs a variety of music from classical to contemprary. Also, the group tours internationally every four years. The past tours include Tour of China 2006 and California 2008. The next international tour is planed in spring 2010 to England.
The Wesleyan Chorale is a select vocal ensemble of 24 students. The audition is held each fall and memership is based on a one-year commitment. The ensemble performs and entertains in a variety of venues on and off campus throughout the academic year.
KWU has been an influential part of higher education in North Central Kansas for more than a century. Founded in 1886 by the United Methodist Church, KWU welcomes students of all faiths.
KWU's primary goal is providing students with an excellent education in a caring Christian campus community. The university is uncompromising in its dedication to providing an atmosphere where students can mature and learn while taking responsibility for their own actions and lives.
