Question: Tell me about the Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) at Kansas Wesleyan University. How long is the program?
Answer: The Division/Department of Nursing Education offers a BSN degree on successful completion of the four year program in nursing. The graduate is eligible to take the licensure examination to become a registered nurse.
Question: Do you offer a Registered Nurse (RN) to BSN program?
Answer: We do have a RN-BSN class. Upon completion of all Liberal studies/support courses an RN may apply to the BSN program.
Question: How do I set up a campus visit?
Answer: To set up a visit, contact the Admission’s Office at 785-827-5541, Ext. 1285. If they are on the telephone, you will be automatically forwarded into their voice mail. Please leave your name and a telephone number and they will call you back as soon as possible. If you would like to ask questions or verify information, please feel free to call the Division/Department of Nursing Education at 785-827-5541, Ext. 2313, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Question: How do I apply to Kansas Wesleyan University?
Answer: You may fill out an application through the KWU website through the “Prospective Students” area of www.kwu.edu or request one through our Admission’s Office at 785-827-5541, Ext. 1285. Please refer to the application in regards to transcripts and $20.00 application processing fee for entrance into KWU.
Question: How do I qualify for the Early Admission program?
Answer: As a first time freshman with a high school GPA of 3.0 or better, you are eligible to apply for early admission in the nursing program, which can guarantee you placement in the nursing program your junior year. See the Early Admission Policy for more information
Question: How do I apply to the Division/Department of Nursing Education at KWU?
Answer: Request an application from the Division/Department of Nursing Education or download the Nursing Application from our website (Microsoft WORD document). To access it, refer to our website.

Question: Is there a nursing application fee?
Answer: No, the $20.00 fee noted above refers only to the original KWU application processing fee.
Question: What are your prerequisites to coming into the bachelor’s nursing program?
Answer: The BSN prerequisites are as follows:
1. Acceptance into Kansas Wesleyan University
2. A cumulative grade point average of 2.6 or higher on a 4.0 grade scale for college work.
3. Completion of all Liberal Studies/Support Courses required for Nursing with a grade of C or better
4. Completion of NURS250, Introduction to Professional Nursing Course with a grade of C or better
Question: How often do you receive students into the KWU nursing program per year?
Answer: We have a once-a-year, fall enrollment for the Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing Program.

Question: Do you offer an LPN Articulation agreement towards a BSN degree?
Answer: No, not at this time.
Question: How many students is Kansas Wesleyan University approved to admit into the Nursing Major each year?
Answer: 40 per year.
