A good background in physics is required in nearly all science and engineering fields. Modern physics has also achieved an important position in the study of religion and philosophy.
The Physics Department offers programs leading to the B.S. degree in engineering physics, and through cooperative programs with other universities, the B.S. degree in engineering. A major, a minor, and Education Certification are offered in Physics. The department also offers a minor in Science & Technology Inter-Disciplinary.
