Church Basement Ladies – A New Musical Comedy

Church Basement Ladies is universal.  These “steel magnolias” of the church exist in every faith and every organization, where solid and dedicated behind-the-scenes women work tirelessly to keep stomachs full and coffee brewing for every important event from weddings to funerals to “pot luck” suppers.  Complete with twelve songs from “Closer To Heaven” to “The Mother of the Bride”, audiences will recognize, and enjoy these characters.  From the elderly matriarch of the kitchen to the young bride in training, they stave off potential disasters and keep the Pastor on due course, while thoroughly enjoying ( and tolerating) each other as we see the church year unfold from beneath the House of God.  Church Basement Ladies is perfect entertainment for the entire family, for friends, and for groups-good clean laughs, memorable and hysterical characters, wonderfully clever music, and nostalgia.

The normal cost for dinner and the show is $35.  However, Kansas Wesleyan University is sponsoring half of the cost. So your price for dinner and the show is $17 per person.  So come and enjoy the show and visit with KWU President Philip Kerstetter and old friends.

Kansas City Gathering

Join us for lunch at Rozzelle Court at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art located three blocks northeast of the Country Club Plaza.  This informal alumni gathering offers the opportunity to reminisce with other area Coyotes and learn what is happening today at your alma mater from University officials.  Afterwards enjoy the museum on your own, or join a tour led by KWU Art Professor Brad Anderson from Impressionism to Modern Art.  There is no charge for this event.
