The APS Program in Business Management has been designed to provide adult learners with an opportunity to complete their undergraduate business degree in a convenient, affordable, and timely manner while still giving them time to live a "normal" life.

Like the traditional Business Major, the adult learner is provided with a broad-based understanding of how a business operates; how social, economic, legal, and other similar events provide the business with opportunities and threats; and how to manage the major business functions and processes for both short and long-term success. The goal of the Business Major is to have the student fully prepared to make an immediate and positive impact on their current or future business's processes and profitability.

The adult learner who is interested in specializing in a specific area or gaining additional business education, is encouraged to complete their undergraduate degree in the general business program, and then get a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a Masters Degree in their desired area of study. In today's business world, a thorough understanding of the entire business operation is required in order to see how the parts of the business relates to each other and how they are dependent upon each part to make the whole successful, and that is the purpose of our undergraduate major. The Kansas Wesleyan Business Department recommends that its students first seek to understand the whole, then seek to master the parts.
