Communicable Disease Policy

It is the policy of Kansas Wesleyan University Athletic Training Education Program to never at any given time to put a staff member, athletic training student, student athlete or the general public in harms way. At any given time a staff member or athletic training student who has or is suspected of having an infectious or communicable diseases include but are not limited to HIV (the virus which causes AIDS), ARC (AIDS Related Condition), AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome), tuberculosis (TB), Cytomegalovirus (CMV), Herpes Simplex virus (HSV Type I and Type II), HSV related diseases such as chicken pox, shingles, infectious mononucleosis, and Hepatitis-B. They will be suspended from all clinical sites until a release from a medical physician has been authorized
