Nick Allaire was named Second Team All-American as designated hitter
Brian Burke was named Second Team NAIA All-American at catcher

After finishing the 2009 season with a school record 40 wins, which included a 26-game winning streak, the KCAC Regular Season Championship, the KCAC Post-Season Tournament Championship and an appearance in the Championship game of the NAIA Opening Round series, three Kansas Wesleyan players have earned NAIA All-American honors as announced by the NAIA National Office. Campbellsville gets by Wesleyan 4-0 to advance to World Series ST. CHARLES, MO. – If something works, there’s no reason to fix it, or do something different for that matter. After Campbellsville starter Bryan Fuller baffled Kansas Wesleyan’s hitters for nine innings on Thursday night in the first championship game of the NAIA Opening Round Tournament, Beauford Sanders, the coach of the Tigers, went back to Fuller for Friday’s deciding game, and the result was nearly the same as Campbellsville defeated the Coyotes 4-0 to advance to the NAIA World Series (more info...)

Big inning propels Campbellsville past Coyotes 11-0 ST. CHARLES, MO. – After two less than desirable days of baseball weather, Mother Nature provided a perfect day for the first championship of the Lindenwood Regional of the Opening Round of the NAIA National Championship. Coyotes hold off top seeded Campbellsville to advance to championship game ST. CHARLES, MO. – Kansas Wesleyan’s amazing late season run continues. Wesleyan pitcher Dale Harder pitched a masterful eight and two-thirds, striking out 11 and walking none, and Casey Barnes picked up a one-out save as the Coyotes upset top seeded and No.8 ranked Campbellsville (Ky.) 5-4 in the semifinals of the NAIA Opening Round Tournament on Wednesday at Lou Brock Stadium at Lindenwood University. Mathes & Pettyjohn lead KWU past Lindenwood in NAIA Tournament ST. Coyotes headed to St. Louis for NAIA Baseball Opening Round Kansas Wesleyan University made its first ever appearance in the NAIA Top 25, and will head to St. Charles, Mo., for the Opening Round Tournament of the 53rd Annual AVISTA-NAIA World Series. The Coyotes will be the No.3 in the five-team opening round tournament which starts May 12 at the Lou Brock Sports Complex on the campus of Lindenwood University. (more info...)

Brandon Mathes was named as the KCAC Player of the Year for a second consecutive season

Kansas Wesleyan dominates All-KCAC Baseball Selections JUNCTION CITY – Just as the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes dominated the KCAC during the regular season, the Coyotes also dominated the All-KCAC Baseball Teams. Wesleyan placed 10 individuals in 12 spots on the All-KCAC teams and added another Gold Glove to the trophy case for a top defensive performance during the season. (more info...)

 

 

 

 

 

Kansas Wesleyan captured its second KCAC Tournament title in baseball in the last three years with a 16-7 over Sterling on Saturday

Wesleyan captures KCAC Tournament Title in 16-7 win over Sterling JUNCTION CITY – Consecutive win number 24 felt just as good as win number 21 during the streak. Both marks gave KWU coach Dave Dawson something else to hang on his wall. Kansas Wesleyan plated at least one run in each of the first six innings and cruised to a 16-7 win over Sterling in the KCAC Tournament Championship on Saturday afternoon at Rathert Stadium (more info...)
