KWU Cheer and Dance signs five for next year

Kansas Wesleyan University Head Cheer and Dance coach Gina Turner has released the signings of five student-athletes to be part of the Coyote spirit squads for next season.
The list includes two that will be members of the Golden Dazzlers Dance Team, including Salina product Lauren Zey.
Zey is completing her senior season at Salina’s Sacred Heart High School, and is the daughter of Rick and Donna Zey of Salina.
Jami Rueckert has also signed with Kansas Wesleyan. Jami is currently in her first year at Cloud County as a member of the Thunderbolt Dance Team. She is the daughter of Robert and Donna Rueckert of Beloit.
Amanda Howard will join the cheer squad next season. Howard is the daughter of Bob and Veronica Howard of Lawrence. She is completing her senior year at Free State High School in Lawrence. She has cheered competitively in Lawrence the past two years with G-Force Athletics and Dance City. She is also active in vocal music at Free State and will continue her singing career at KWU.
Ashley Davenport will also join as a member of the cheer squad. A Topeka native, and the daughter of Ranie McLaughlin and Emmitt Davenport, Ashley is completing her senior season at Topeka West High School. She has been a member of the UCA All-Stars in 2005 and was named cheer team captain this year at Topeka West.
Christine Glover will be a member of the Coyote cheer team next season. A McLouth native, and the daughter of Mark and Sherrie Wright, Glover is finishing her senior season at McLouth High School. She received the Ira Brammel cheerleading award.
