Awards and Accomplishments

The KWU Cheer and Dance teams have attended a variety of competitions in the past, and hauled home some very impressive hardware. Here's what they have done since 2000:

Cheer Squad
2005 - 2006	5th place Collegiate Coed Cheer, UPA Nationals in Minneapolis, Minn. Individual Awards: Erica Eldridge -- 6th place Collegiate jumps, Tiffany Bergsten -- 9th place Collegiate jumps Received bid for NCA Collegiate Nationals
2004 - 2005	Received 2nd place in Collegiate Cheer at Nation's Best State Competition
2003 - 2004	Received a NCA Collegiate Nationals Bid
2001 - 2002	Finished in the Top-15 at NCA Collegiate Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla. 2nd Place in Collegiate Cheer at Kansas' Best State Competition
2000 - 2001	1st Place in Collegiate Cheer at Kansas' Best State Competition

Dance Team
2005 - 2006	5th place Collegiate Open, UPA Nationals in Minneapolis, Minn. Individual Awards: Holly Acton -- First place collegiate leaps, Top 10 Performer of the Year, Ashlee Grider -- 5th place collegiate kicks 3rd place Collegiate Dance, Showmanship trophy, and Precision trophy at Sunflower Classic Competition
2004 - 2005	Finished 20th in Division II Dance and 8th in the Challenge Cup competition at NDA Collegiate Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla. 1st place Collegiate Dance, sweepstakes trophy, and showmanship trophy at Sunflower Classic state competition Grand Champions Collegiate Dance, and 1st place in Open category at Nation's Best state competition Received NDA Collegiate Nationals Bid
2003 - 2004	4th Place UPA Competition, Minneapolis, Minn.
2002 - 2003	3rd Place in Collegiate Dance at Kansas' Best state competition
