Coyote Football announces 2006 schedule

Take 2005 and flip it. The Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes will play the reverse of the 2005 schedule in 2006, as head coach Dave Dallas announces the 2006 schedule.

Wesleyan will open on the road for the first two weeks, opening at Hillsboro against defending KCAC champion Tabor College in week one (Sept. 9). The Coyotes will then head to Wichita the following week to take on the Friends Falcons. Both games are scheduled for 7:00 starts.

Week three sees the Coyotes in their first home contest as they host the Saint Mary Spires on September 23 at 7:00 PM. That weekend is also Homecoming for the Coyotes, and is the 2006 Alltel Coyote Kickoff Classic.

The Coyotes then travel to Ottawa to take on the Ottawa Braves in a 7:00 contest on September 30.

Southwestern comes to Salina on October 7, as the Coyotes begin a three-game homestand. The Coyotes will also host Southwestern Assemblies of God on October 14 and McPherson on October 21 as part of the homestand. McPherson will be the first afternoon contest of the season for the Coyotes, with a 1:30 start.

The Coyote then finish the season with two road games at Bethel (Oct. 28) and Sterling (Nov. 4) before hosting arch-rival Bethany College on November 11 at Martin Stadium.
