Kansas Wesleyan University football concluded its spring football practices with a scrimmage on March 15 at Salina Stadium.
“We went early this year, concluding our 10 days of spring ball with a offensive / defensive scrimmage,” Wesleyan assistant coach Lou Neal said.
The coaching staff felt that after spring practices, the team took a huge step forward in its development.
“Not only did we have impressive numbers in the spring, the all around intensity was great,” Neal said. “The team and coaches seem eager to improve upon their 8-2 record of the last two years.”
The Coyotes also expect a lot of success out of the younger players in the system, and even more out of the strong core of returning players.
“We expect good things out of our younger players and more out of our returnees,” Neal said.
Wesleyan will kick off the 2007 season on September 8, hosting Bethel.
