Troy Van Blarcom named KCAC Special Teams Player of the Week
By: David Toelle, KWU Sports Information

LINDSBORG – Kansas Wesleyan University kicker Troy Van Blarcom has been named as the KCAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in KWU’s 31-26 win over McPherson on September 15.

Van Blarcom, a 6-3, 225-pound junior transfer from the University of Southern California, had three of his six kickoffs go for touchbacks, was 1-for-2 on field goal attempts, and was 4-for-4 on PAT attempts.

Kansas Wesleyan picked up its first win of the 2007 season with the 31-26 defeat of McPherson. The Coyotes look to move over the .500 mark this week when they host Southwestern Assemblies of God on Saturday at Salina Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
