JV Football pulls off big win at Hastings

The Kansas Wesleyan JV Football team traveled to Hastings, Neb., on Monday night to take on Hastings College, and came away with a big 8-7 win over the Broncos.
JV Head Coach Louis Neal was pleased with the effort his team put out in the win.
“The kids really stepped up and played well for their first JV contest,” he said.
After Hastings took the lead 7-0, the Coyotes responded using a 20-yard Aaron Feldkamp touchdown run and two-point conversion by Ryan Walker to grab the lead and hold on for the 8-7 win.
Neal also said the defense was an integral part of the win.
“Our defense was outstanding,” he said. “I don’t think we allowed 150 yards of total offense all night, and their only score came after they recovered a bad snap on a punt.”
The JV Coyotes are back in action next Monday night in Wichita against Friends, with a 7:00 p.m. scheduled kickoff at Adair-Austin Stadium.
