Rio Deal finishes seventh at regional golf championships

BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. – Kansas Wesleyan University women’s golf athlete Rio Deal finished seventh at last week’s NAIA Region IV Women’s Golf Championships at Sunflower Hills Golf Course.

Deal shot a 188 (97/91) for the tournament, just edging Park’s Allison Vaughn for the seventh spot.

Deal was also the top medalist in the tournament.

Park University won the team championship with a 711, 16 strokes better than Southwestern, who finished second.
