Kansas Wesleyan honored outstanding achievements on Feb. 8

Kansas Wesleyan University honored the accomplishments of 12 student athletes and coaches for outstanding awards and milestones earned during the 2006 fall and early basketball seasons.
11 fall sports athletes and coaches received honors including:
Volleyball: Kolby Rhoades, KCAC Player of the Year
Women's Soccer: Juliet Cervantes, NAIA Honorable Mention All-American, KCAC Newcomer of the Year; Heather Muilenburg, NAIA Honorable Mention All-American, KCAC Freshman of the Year; Kelly Holloway, KCAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year and Jessica Resendez, NAIA Honorable Mention All-American, KCAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
Men's Soccer: Trey Thompson, NAIA Honorable Mention All-American, KCAC Offensive Player of the Year and Wayne Johnson, NAIA Honorable Mention All-American, KCAC Goalkeeper of the Year, KCAC Defensive Player of the Year.
Football: Darell Grames, NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week (11/11); Justin Schropp, NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week (9/30); Coach Colby Hensley, AFCA-NAIA National Assistant Coach of the Year; Eric Williams, AFCA-NAIA All-American (Top 25 players in NAIA Football).
Kansas Wesleyan also honored Men's Basketball coach Tommy DeSalme for picking up his 100th career win on January 20 against Ottawa University.
