Thompson named KCAC Player of the Week

Kansas Wesleyan forward Trey Thompson has been named as the KCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for his efforts during this week’s KCAC Post-Season Tournament.

Thompson, a senior from Mesa, Ariz., scored one goal in the Coyotes’ 4-0 win in the tournament semifinals over Tabor, and scored the match winning goal in overtime as the Coyotes knocked off regular season champion Friends in the tournament championship match 1-0.

The two wins push the Coyotes’ record to 16-3 overall, and send the Coyotes into the NAIA Region IV playoffs next Tuesday.
