Marisa Brownell has earned KCAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors for her efforts in two Kansas Wesleyan women’s soccer wins last week.
In KWU’s two wins last week, Brownell was part of a staunt defense that only allowed a total of nine shots, and one goal allowed.
Against Bethel in a 9-1 win, the KWU defense allowed only six shots and one goal allowed.
On Saturday against Sterling, the defense allowed only three shots, none of them on goal and no goals allowed as the Lady Coyotes beat Sterling 4-0.
KWU is back in action on Wednesday when they host Friends beginning at 6 p.m. at Martin Stadium. The Coyotes then are on the road Saturday at McPherson.
