Eliana Parada named KCAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week

Kansas Wesleyan’s Eliana Parada has earned KCAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors for her efforts in three wins last week, as the Lady Coyotes captured their second consecutive KCAC Championship with a perfect 9-0 record.
For the week, she had four goals and two assists in Wesleyan’s three wins over Tabor, Saint Mary and Bethany.
Against Tabor in a 9-0 decision, she had one goal and two assists. In a 4-0 win over Saint Mary, Parada had three goals. Against Bethany, she had no goals or assists but took nine shots, five on goal as KWU shredded the Swedes’ pack defense for a total of 58 shots.
The Coyotes finished the regular season with a 17-1 overall record and a perfect 9-0 conference record en route to the KCAC Championship. Wesleyan is also ranked No.1 in NAIA Region IV and continues to receive votes in the NAIA National Poll.
Wesleyan will play again on Friday at 11 a.m., in Wichita, against the winner of today’s first round match up between No.4 seeded Sterling and No.5 seeded Saint Mary.
