Garay shared the honor with McPherson’s Armando Rodriguez, who scored one goal and had one assist in one match in a 3-0 win over Ottawa on Saturday.
Despite giving up four goals to the nationally ranked Pirates on Wednesday night in Parkville, Mo., Carrillo pitched a shut out against Sterling in the Coyotes’ KCAC opener Saturday. In 180 minutes of play, Carrillo had four goals against, and recorded three total saves.
