Mike Dibbini enters his third season as the head men’s and women’s soccer coach at Kansas Wesleyan University.
In his two years as head coach, the men’s team has compiled an overall record of 30-10-2 and has finished in the top of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference each season, winning the regular season KCAC championship in 2005 and the conference tournament championship in both 2005 and 2006. The men have qualified for the NAIA Region IV Tournament each of the last two years, and are consistently ranked in the top five in the region. In 2006, the men cracked the NAIA Top 25 for the first time in program history.
Dibbini was named the KCAC Coach of the Year in 2005.
The women’s team has compiled an overall record of 34-6-3 under Dibbini and have finished at the top of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference each season winning the regular season championship in 2006 and the conference tournament championship in both 2005 and 2006. The women have also qualified for the regional tournament each of the last two years and are consistently ranked in the top five in the region. In 2006, the women advanced to the Regional Finals for the first time in program history. Dibbini was named the KCAC Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2006.
Prior to coaching at KWU, Dibbini was the Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer Coach at Salina Central High School from 1999-2006. In 2006, he was named the AVCTL Division I Coach of the Year. In 1999, he received the Kansas State Youth Soccer Boys Coach of the Year award.
He holds an NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma and USSF National Coaching License. He is also the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the Salina Soccer Club, and is currently on staff as the Head Boys' Coach for the Kansas Olympic Development Program (ODP).
Dibbini graduated in 1999 from Kansas Wesleyan University with a degree in Elementary Education, and continued on to earn a Master of Business Administration in 2002.
As a player at KWU and in junior college at Bethany Lutheran (Minn.) College, Dibbini was a four-time (twice at KWU and twice at BLC) All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American. In 1997, Dibbini was ranked number two in the NAIA for goals scored and offensive points. He was also named to the NAIA Academic All-Region team in 1997 and the National Small College Player of the Year 1997.
Originally from Palmdale, Calif., Dibbini was a First Team All-CIF selection twice, CIF Player of the Year, and Golden League Player of the Year twice at Palmdale High School.
Coach Dibbini and his wife, Trina, also a 2002 graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University, currently reside in Salina, Kansas with their daughter, Jada Michelle.

Dave Ouderkirk
Assistant Coach
Dave Ouderkirk begins his first year as an assistant coach for the Coyotes. He is no stranger to soccer in the Salina area, as he is the President of the Salina Soccer Club, a position he has held for two years, and has been a local club coach for the last eight years.
He holds a “D” level license from the USSF (United States Soccer Federation).
Ouderkirk graduated with a BBA in Finance in 1989 from Fort Hays State University and works as a financial consultant with A.G. Edwards in Salina.
He and his wife Lisa live in Salina with their children Logan and Meghan.

Miguel Ruiz is in his first season as assistant coach for the KWU Soccer Program.
Ruiz comes to Kansas Wesleyan after being involved with the Simi Valley (Calif.) Soccer Club since 1999. He was Head Boys’ Coach for the SVSC from 1999 to 2007 and has been the Director of Coaching since 2005.
He also was an assistant coach at his high school alma mater, Royal High School from 1999 until 2005.
He holds a “D” License and a Natioanl Youth License from USSF.
