Marsicek named NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete

Krista Marsicek has been named as a Daktronics/NAIA Softball All-American Scholar Athlete for the 2006 season.

Marsicek, a senior from Narka, graduated earlier this month with a perfect 4.0 grade point average with a degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice.

She hit .279 this season for the Lady Coyotes, with 24 hits. KWU finished the 2006 season with a 7-29-1 overall record, and a 7-9 record in the KCAC.

The NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete program, sponsored by Daktronics, requires honorees to carry at least a 3.50 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and be of junior or senior academic status. Certain sport-specific criteria may also apply.
