Kansas Wesleyan set to host upcoming KCAC Softball Tournament

Kansas Wesleyan is set to host the 2008 KCAC Softball Tournament is scheduled for May 1 through May 2 at Bill Burke Park, in Salina. The games will be played at diamonds no. 4 and no. 6.

Games get started on Thursday morning at 10 a.m., as fifth-seeded Southwestern takes on fourth-seeded Ottawa on field no.4, and third-seeded Kansas Wesleyan takes on sixth-seeded McPherson on field no.6.

Other first round games include top seeded Friends facing eighth-seeded Saint Mary at Noon at field no.4 and second-seeded Bethany taking on seventh-seeded Sterling at Noon at field no.6.

The last games of the first day of play will be at 6 p.m., featuring loser’s bracket teams.

On Friday, the tournament starts at 11 a.m., with the winner’s bracket semifinal on field no.6 and the loser’s bracket semifinal on field no.4. Field no.6 will host the loser’s bracket championship at 1:30 before the first tournament championship game, which will begin at 4 p.m. If necessary, a second tournament championship game will be played at 6 p.m.
