Jennifer King is in her first season as head coach of the Kansas Wesleyan University Softball Program.

King succeeds Williams who was the interim softball coach in 2007, after Mike Smith was released in October.

King played collegiately at Bethany and was the starting pitcher for the Swedes’ 2000 KCAC Championship team. After Bethany, she moved on to Fort Hays State University, completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, while playing softball for the Tigers. She also spent one season as Student Assistant coach.

King is working toward her master’s degree in Sports Administration from Wichita State University.

Rob Ozga begins his second year as assistant softball coach at Kansas Wesleyan. He assisted interim coach Matthew Williams in the 2007 season, helping lead the Coyotes to a share of the KCAC Championship, the first softball title for KWU since 1998.

Ozga is no stranger to KWU, playing baseball for the Coyotes while completing his Bachelor degree in Athletic Training in 2007. He is currently working towards his M.B.A. with emphasis in Sports Management from KWU.

In 2007, Ozga received the KWU Hall of Fame award, which is awarded to an individual who displays outstanding academic achievement as well as service to the community.

Ozga spends his free time assisting around the community, helping with the Heart of America Sports Camps and is also involved with the Kansas Kids Fitness Day.
