KWU Tennis signs Abilene’s Randi England
By: David Toelle, KWU Sports Information

ABILENE -- Kansas Wesleyan University Tennis Coach Brent Mooney announces his first signing for the 2008-09 season with the signing of Abilene’s Randi England to a letter of intent.

“Randi will be a great addition for us next season,” Mooney said. “She is a hard worker and a good student, something that’s very important for us here at Kansas Wesleyan.”

England, a senior at Abilene High, currently plays for coach Garry Stredney.

This Fall at AHS, England was the runner-up in the Class 4A sub-state held at Russell HS, going on to earn a berth in the KSHSAA Girls’ Class 4A Championships held at Pratt.

“Randi is an integral part of our rebuilding process,” Mooney said. “She is a quality tennis player that will help us lay the framework to become one of the top teams in the KCAC.”
