Waterman sets school record, qualifies for outdoor nationals

Amy Waterman set a new school in the shot put, and qualified for the NAIA National Outdoor Championships on Saturday at the Swede Invitational in Lindsborg.
Waterman threw 13.26m (43-6) to best her own school record of 41-0 set last year, and hit the NAIA “A” qualifying mark of 12.95m.
Since the meet was over spring break, only a few athletes went to the meet.

The Coyotes are back in action on Friday and Saturday at Fort Hays State. The Rock & Roll Distance Classic is Friday, followed by the Alex Francis Classic on Saturday.
