Waterman leads NAIA shot putters on first performance list

Amy Waterman leads the NAIA in women’s shot put as the first national top performance lists were released on Tuesday.

Her 43-6 throw on Saturday at the Bethany Invitational which also qualified her for nationals in the NAIA’s top mark through March 27.

Two of the five shot putters who have had their marks submitted are from the KCAC -- Waterman and Friends’ Heather Harris. Harris is currently seeded third with a 42-9.75 mark that was also achieved at the Bethany meet on Saturday.

Waterman and the rest of the Coyotes head to Hays this weekend for the Rock ‘N Roll Distance Classic on Friday and the Alex Francis Invitational on Saturday.
