Amy Waterman leads Coyote tracksters at Hutch Relays

Amy Waterman qualified for NAIA Outdoor Nationals in the shot put, leading the group of Coyote tracksters at the Hutch Night Relays in Hutchinson on April 5.
Waterman threw a 43-1.5, easily passing the NAIA “A” qualifying mark of 42-6. She finished second in the event, behind Barton County’s Cherealla Lavan. She also finished sixth in the discus, throwing a 104-11.
Kara Walker finished fifth in the women’s 400m, running a 1:06.93, and finished fourth in the 1500m, running a 5:24.85.
Ashley Toews ran the 800m; finishing 11th with a 3:11.38, and Vicki Kennedy finished eighth in the 400m hurdles, running a 1:18.07.
On the men’s side, Bryan Carrasquillo ran in the 200m, finishing 19th with a 29.40. He also ran the 400m hurdles, finishing eighth with a 1:04.81.
Gabe Russell finished ninth in the 1500m, running a 4:52.06.
Brandon Lacy threw the shot and discus for the Coyotes, finishing fourth in the shot at 37-8.75, and sixth in the discus with an 87-11.
