Waterman qualifies for Indoor Nationals

Amy Waterman qualified for the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships for the third consecutive year in the shot put.

Waterman, a junior from Jewell, Kan., threw the shot put 12.93m, or 42’5”, on January 25 at the Kansas Jayhawk Invite in Lawrence.

Her mark just misses Waterman’s own school record of 42’5.25” set almost exactly one year to the day at the Bethany Throws meet on January 24, 2007.

Waterman will head to the NAIA Indoor National Championships held in Johnson City, Tenn., on March 6 – 8.
