Two Solomon athletes sign with Kansas Wesleyan
Kansas Wesleyan University Head Track and Field coach Zach Kindler announces the signing of Melissa Jerome and Paul Minneman to letters of intent.
Both Jerome and Minneman are currently seniors at Solomon High School, where they are coached by Tim Cross.
Jerome, the daughter of D.W. Jerome and Mary Singer, is a member of the volleyball, basketball and swim teams. She also is involved with band, as a member of the honor band, and is member of the powerlifting team. She will concentrate on throwing events for the Coyotes next season.
Minneman, the son of Dennis and Kathy Minneman, was a member of the Gorilla football and basketball teams, as well as being a member of the quiz bowl team. He will concentrate on the middle distance events for the Coyotes.
“Both Melissa and Paul bring a high level of talent to our program,” Kindler said. “They will help us build up our program over the next four seasons, as we work to compete for the conference championship.”
Kansas Wesleyan University is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), and of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC). The KCAC is a conference of ten small private colleges in Kansas.
