Kansas Wesleyan University Head Cross Country and Track and Field coach Zach Kindler announces the signing of Kara Walker to a letter of intent.
Walker, a Simpson native, is currently attending Beloit High School, where she is a member of the Trojans’ cross country and track teams running for coach Carle Kuhn.
Walker has been a state qualifier in both track and cross country, as well as earning All-League honors. She has placed fifth and seventh in the 400m at the KSHSAA State Track Championships held in Wichita.
“Kara will be a strong part of our program as we try to recapture the KCAC Women’s Cross Country title,” Kindler said. “She will also be an asset as we build up our track teams to compete for the KCAC championships.”
Kansas Wesleyan University is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), and of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC). The KCAC is a conference of ten small private colleges in Kansas.
