Hobayan named KCAC and Region IV Libero of the Week

Naomi Hobayan has been named both KCAC and NAIA Region IV Libero of the Week for her efforts in Kansas Wesleyan’s two wins last week.
Hobayan, a 5-2 junior from West Covina, Calif., is in her first season at KWU after transferring from Cerritos (Calif.) College.
In the two matches (six games) last week, she had 40 digs (6.67/gm), as well as a .958 passing percentage. She also had six aces (1.0/gm).
The Coyotes went undefeated last week, posting a 2-0 match record and a 6-0 game record as Wesleyan easily defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan 30-15, 30-18, 30-19 on Monday, and swept rival Bethany 30-23, 30-18, 30-23 on Wednesday.
Kansas Wesleyan is 8-7 overall and 3-1 in the KCAC, and are currently ranked eighth in NAIA Region IV.
The Coyotes have three tough matches this week against regionally ranked opponents. KWU hosts no.10 regionally ranked Friends tonight (Tuesday) at 7:00 PM, and travels to no.6 ranked Tabor on Thursday, and no.4 ranked Bethel on Saturday.
