Rhoades and Hobayan earn KCAC Honors

Kolby Rhoades and Naomi Hobayan have been named as the KCAC Player and Libero of the Week, respectively, for their efforts last week.
Kansas Wesleyan won its ninth straight match last Saturday, completing another perfect week for the Coyotes, as they knocked off Friends, KCAC front runner Tabor and KCAC no.2 ranked Bethel.
Rhoades, a junior outside hitter from Burlington, Colo., earned KCAC Player of the Week honors for the third consecutive week. She averaged 4.77 kills per game over 13 games played, while having a .281 attack percentage. She also averaged 2.77 digs per game, having 12 in each of the three matches. Rhoades crossed the 400 kill plateau this week, and extended her KCAC leading kills per game average to 4.31 per game.

Hobayan |
Hobayan, a junior libero from West Covina, Calif., earned KCAC Libero of the Week honors for the third time this season. She had another strong week for the Coyotes, with 20-plus digs in the three matches, all against the top three kill per game average teams in the KCAC (Tabor, Bethel, Friends). She also had six aces this week, two in each match, and had a .952 passing percentage for the week.
The Coyotes extended their winning streak to ten matches with a five game win over Ottawa on Tuesday night, and conclude regular season play on Thursday at home against Saint Mary.
