Two Women’s Basketball players receive Scholar-Athlete honors

OLATHE – Two Kansas Wesleyan Women’s Basketball players have been named and NAIA All-American Scholar Athletes for the 2006-07 season.
Jentri Dixon and Sarah Montoya have been named as Scholar-Athletes.
Dixon, a 5-10 senior forward from Tribune, has earned NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete honors for the second consecutive season. She is a Biology major and the daughter of Chris and Kellee Dixon.
Montoya, a 5-3 senior guard from Phoenix, Ariz., also earned Scholar-Athlete honors for the second consecutive year. She is a Business Administration major and is the daughter of Edward and Susan Montoya of Phoenix.
To be nominated as a NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete, student-athletes must maintain at least a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and be of at least junior academic status. Certain other sport specific criteria may also apply.
The NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete program, sponsored yearly by Daktronics, honors student-athletes who excel not only in their respective sport, but also in the classroom.
