Women’s Basketball signs Megan Cavenee to letter of intent
By: David Toelle, KWU Sports Information

Kansas Wesleyan University Women’s Basketball coach Gordon Reimer has signed Greeley County’s Megan Cavenee to a letter of intent for the 2007-08 season.

Cavenee, a 5-10 guard/forward, was named All-League in the Western Kansas Liberty League this season. She was also selected to play in the Northwest Kansas All-Star Game and was an All-Area selection.

Cavenee continues a recent line of players coming from Greeley County High, including Jentri Dixon and Kaylaen Dittmer.

“Megan will be a good fit for our program,” Head Coach Gordon Reimer said. “It will give her the opportunity to continue her basketball career at the collegiate level.”

Kansas Wesleyan opens the 2007-08 season on Friday, November 2, at the Benedictine (Kan.) Classic in Atchison.

Kansas Wesleyan University is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC), and is located in Salina.
