Becki received her undergraduate degree in 2011 from Kansas State University in Trumpet Performance, where she studied with Dr. Gary Mortenson. While at K-State, she traveled to Kalavrita and Athens, Greece; Paris, France; and London, England, attending master classes and giving performances with some of the finest trumpet teachers and musicians in the world.

Becki then went on to receive her Master of Music degree in Trumpet Performance at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New York, where she studied with Dr. John Ellis. While at Crane, she recorded and released her first album, titled Concoction: Popular Solos for Student Trumpet Players in June of 2012. Produced by Madstop Records, the CD includes music that the common grade school, middle school, and high school trumpet student prepares and is viewed as a teaching tool and listening reference. The CD can be found in 17 different states and is in the hands of hundreds of students and teachers.

Currently, Becki works as Principal Trumpet of the Salina Symphony Orchestra and is also the editor and occasional column writer for the journal jr. of the International Trumpet Guild Journal, where her articles reach trumpet players in 60 different countries.
