Smoky Hills Audubon Society to Present at KWU

Salina, Kan. – Master Gardener and Biologist Paul Willis will present a free program for the public at Kansas Wesleyan University on Thursday, October 18. Willis’ presentation will feature the topic of Kansas’ native wildflowers and butterflies.
After a lifetime of academic study of, searching, and exploring the plants and animals of the Kansas landscape, Willis has learned the value of wild areas for harboring soil organisms, tiny plants, insects, grasses, rushes, sedges, bushes, trees, bird life and animal life. He is passionate about protecting these valuable places to ensure the health of our ecosystems that depend on the interrelationships of all.
The presentation will be in room 202 of the Hauptli Student Activities Center on the campus of Kansas Wesleyan University. A social begins at 7pm, the program will begin at 7:30. For more information, contact Marge Strekfus at 785.825.7889.
