Kathleen House presents Senior Recital at UUMC

Senior Kathleen House will perform her senior recital in December. It will be held on Friday, December 7 at 7 p.m. at the University United Methodist Church. The recital is a compilation of House’s four years of study at KWU.
Originally from McPherson, KS, House majors in Music Education and Music Performance with an emphasis in violin.
The theme of her recital is “Nachtmüsik.” Works will include: “Silent Night,” “Sicilienne & Rigaudon,” “Schön Rosmarin,” and many others. House will play the violin and Judy Weber will be the accompanist.
House has been involved in music her entire life.
“I cannot remember a moment where I wasn't singing or just playing an instrument of some sort,” said House.
She began her formal training at the age of seven and began to learn the violin at the age of 13. Along with the violin, House plays the piano, viola, cell, bass, and sings as well.
While attending KWU, House has been involved in the KWU Chamber Orchestra, KWU Full Orchestra, KWU String Quartet, KWU Philharmonic Choir, Salina Symphony, Pit Orchestras for musicals, Alpha Chi, KNEA-SP, NAfME Collegiate, Director of God's Kids, Youth, and Handbell Choirs at Sunrise Presbyterian Church; Salina Youth Symphony Assistant, and Salina Community Theater.
Cookies and punch will be served following the recital.
