Three Kansas Wesleyan University band members were recently selected to perform with the Kansas Intercollegiate Band. Chiton Brinson of Lyons, Kan. was selected on the trumpet; Shelby Westfahl, Hutchinson, Kan., will play the oboe; Landon Livingston was selected as a percussion alternate. Livingston is from Mahaska, Kan.

The three students were selected from applications and will audition for specific parts at the event. The band is made up of college music students from all over Kansas and will rehearse and perform at the Kansas Music Educator's Association annual convention in Wichita in late February.

Brinson, Westfahl, and Livingston were submitted for the band by instructor Sarah Bernard-Stevens.
