Three Promoted at KWU

Richard Esvang, and Dr. David Silverman were recently granted tenure status at Kansas Wesleyan University.
Esvang earned his Master of Fine Arts from Western Illinois University. He is the founder and former artistic director of Great Plains Theatre Festival in Abilene, and has won several awards and accolades throughout his 30 year career, including the Irene Ryan Award Regional Winner and the Carol Otto Award for Distinguished Acting Performance. The Director of Theatre at KWU, Esvang was also promoted to the rank of Associate Professor.
Dr. David Silverman earned his M.A. in English Studies from Illinois State University and his Ph.D. in Communications from the University of Missouri. Silverman was previously with the faculty at Xavier University and has written one book on the history of corporate censorship of television in the United States. Dr. Silverman was also promoted to Associate Professor.
Bryan Minnich, Chair of the Department of Sport and Exercise Science, and Chair of the Division of Applied Arts and Sciences, was also promoted to Associate Professor. Minnich earned a Bachelor of Science from Liberty University and his Masters of Science from South Dakota State University. He also serves as the Faculty Athletic Representative.
