Military Historian Speaks at KWU to Commemorate D-Day Anniversary

In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of D-Day, Kansas Wesleyan University will host Mr. Dominique Francois at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2 in Sams Chapel. Mr. Francois will present, "Normandy: Before and After D-Day." It is free and open to the public.

Mr. Francois, whose father witnessed the Nazi occupation of Normandy and the Allied landings on D-Day, is a military historian and renowned expert on this period of history. He has published 15 books on the subject and has served as a consultant to The History Channel and to NBC. Mr. Francois' presentation is made possible through the generosity of the Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum, and Boyhood Home and is sponsored by the KWU Department of History.
