Joseph Layton-Santos Accepted to The Washington Center

Joseph Layton-Santos, a Communications major, will begin his senior year this fall by participating in a semester in Washington, D.C., at the Washington Center. He is among six Coyotes who have been accepted to the prestigious program over the past four years.

The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars has helped more than 50,000 students from around the world gain valuable experience, and set them on a course of achievement, leadership and engagement in their communities. The Media and Communication track prepares students for a variety of careers related to communications. Through speakers, lectures and personal interviews, students have numerous opportunities to meet with leading practitioners and representatives of major firms in the fields of print and broadcast journalism, production, advertising, public relations, photography, graphic design, events management, social media or political communications.
