KWU Helps Save the Starving

On Tuesday, April 9, Kansas Wesleyan will host Salina Saves the Starving in Muir Gymnasium from noon-8pm. Hundreds of volunteers will donate their time and energy to packaging meals for children in an orphanage, girls' home, and also for a feeding program in Honduras. Donations are also being accepted online at www.salinasavesthestarving.com - where just $65 will feed a family of four for over a month.
Lunafest Comes to Fitzpatrick

On Sunday, April 7, Women Helping Women and the KWU Theatre Department will present Lunafest, a short films presentation for, by, and about women. The show is at 2pm; reception is at 3:30, in Fitzpatrick. For more inforamation, visit lunafest.org.
Alpha Chi Participates in Book Drive

The Kansas Wesleyan University chapter of Alpha Chi, in cooperation with their national service project and Ad Astra Bookstore, is conducting a children’s book drive. Reading is Fundamental is an effort to bring new and gently used books to low income kids in the Salina area who may not have books of their own. The drive continues through April 20.
KWU Choir Returns from Tour to Perform at UUMC

The KWU students return from Choir Tour and will perform a home concert on Tuesday, March 26. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the University United Methodist Church located on 1509 S. Santa Fe.
Debate and Forensics Brings Home National Championship

Meine to Headline Sustainability Symposium

Dr. Curt Meine, internationally-recognized conservation biologist, writer, historian, and Aldo Leopold Scholar, will present at Kansas Wesleyan University's first Sustainability Symposium. This year's symposium, themed “Sustainability as a Land Ethic”, will feature a film screening, presentations by Dr. Meine, and a panel discussion. "Music of the Sea" Music Concert tonight

On Thursday, February 28, the Kansas Wesleyan Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra, and Full Orchestra will perform. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Pioneer Hall in Sams Chapel. The concert will feature music by W. Franic McBeth, Eric Whitacre, Robert W. Smith and many others. Songs performed will include: “The Seal Lullbay,” “Of Sailors and Whales,” “Sea Songs,” “The Winds of Poseidon” and many others.
