KWU and Salina Community Theatre Partner For "Godspell" For Their First Joint Musical Stage Production
Godspell is the first joint stage production for Kansas Wesleyan University and Salina Community Theatre (SCT). Using the updated 2011-12 Broadway Revival book and music, the classic 1970s hit musical will be performed at KWU in Fitzpatrick Auditorium, Sams Hall of Fine Arts.

In recognition of their contributions, Governor Sam Brownback has proclaimed February 9-15, 2015, as Kansas Private College Week, and in so doing, he urges all citizens to join in recognizing the important contributions of private colleges and universities, including Kansas Wesleyan University, to the state.

Internships are a great way to learn under fire in the trenches of the real work world.
Just ask KWU senior Daniel Moss, who has been warmly welcomed by the Salina Airport Authority as their public relations intern for the spring 2015 semester. He reports to Melissa McCoy ‘11, manager of Public Affairs & Communications for the authority.

On Jan. 9, 2015, KWU alumna Olga Silverman ’13 was announced as a Region 1 recipient of the 2015 Kansas Horizon Award, which recognizes performance of educators during their first year of teaching. She teaches 9th and 10th grade English, creative writing and public speaking, coaches debate and forensics, and directs theater productions at Solomon High School (USD 393) in Solomon, KS.

On Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, registration began at The Center for Global Service Learning at KWU for the first “Wesleyan Journey” courses for the 2015-16 academic year. Eight courses have been secured and finalized, involving academic coursework, an intentional service component, and travel.
Destinations for these courses are Key Largo, Florida, various communities in Costa Rica, and Berlin and Munich, Germany.
