Celebrating Daffodil Days is about more than sharing beautiful flowers; it’s about dedicated people sharing hope for a world free of cancer. Thanks to generous support of the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days program, the Society is helping people face cancer every day in every community. Dollars raised through Daffodil Days enable the Society to offer free programs and services that help people fight cancer with courage and optimism.
Mixing Shakespeare and Hip-Hop

That's been the biggest challenge for actor Jennifer McCullick as she rehearses for "The Bomb-itty of Errors," a musical hip-hop version of one of William Shakespeare's early plays, "The Comedy of Errors."

Student-Athlete Honor Nights Begin Saturday

The Kansas Wesleyan Athletic Department will honor student-athletes for their accomplishments on and off the athletic field at halftime of the next two nights of basketball games, starting on Saturday, February 2 against Bethel College.
Red Out!

On Thursday, February 7, hundreds of basketball fans will gather to see match-ups between the Kansas Wesleyan University and Sterling College basketball teams. However, rather than purple and gold on one side, this year there will be red. Kansas Wesleyan continues its heart disease awareness mission with a Red Out. During the game, fans will wear red to honor loved ones while helping to fight heart disease and stroke.

MLK Week Events on Campus

This week KWU commemorates the life and achievements of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with several events and displays. Today at 3pm in room 203 of the Student Activities Center, we will be screening "The Speeches of Martin Luther King, Jr". This 60 minute video is a collection of several of his most important speeches.
KWU Musicians in Kansas Intercollegiate Band

Three Kansas Wesleyan University band members were recently selected to perform with the Kansas Intercollegiate Band. Chiton Brinson of Lyons, Kan. was selected on the trumpet; Shelby Westfahl, Hutchinson, Kan., will play the oboe; Landon Livingston was selected as a percussion alternate. Livingston is from Mahaska, Kan.
Medina Presents 'Out of a Box' in the Gallery

Peggy Medina, a lifelong Salina resident, will have her work up in the Gallery at Kansas Wesleyan University starting Tuesday, January 22. “I have wanted to be an artist since I was a small child,” said Medina. “Over the years, I have always had my hands in some kind of art of craft.”
