Math and Physics Club

The Kansas Wesleyan University Math and Physics club meets approximately once a month with the Microburst club.

Past Events:

  • September 27, 2012.  Dr. Stephanie Milam, a KWU alumnus, and now a scientist at NASA, came to speak about her career experiences.

  • December 6, 2012.  Student research presentations.  Faith Ramsey presented "Why Cats Have 9 Lives," about the biomechanisms of falling cats.  (No cats were harmed.)  Jake Fox presented some of his research on steganography, which he worked on at an REU over the summer.Jake Fox, presenting on Steganography

Upcoming Events:

  • March 14, Pi Day.  The math and physics club will be serving free pie in the student center, starting at 1:59 and continuing until all the pie is gone.  Come get some!  (Pi itself may or may not be served.)
